I am Lenin Eduardo Vazquez-Toledo.
I'm a third-year Philosophy PhD student at the University of Arizona. I mainly work on issues in metaphysics –particularly, issues in metametaphysics and higher-order metaphysics–, the philosophy of psychiatry. I am also interested in ethics, ancient philosophy, and the philosophy of opera. I got my BA in Philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) in June 2019 under the supervision of Alessandro Torza (Institute of Philosophical Research, UNAM's) with a thesis on pluralism about being, the view that there are many ways of being. I am a Marymount School alumni. I was part of UNAM's Institute of Philosophical Research's Fellow Research Students Programme. Outside of philosophy, I love opera (from Wagner's Tristan und Isolde to Gilbert & Sullivan operas), knitting, biking, and classical singing (I'm a tenor). My name is 'Lenin Eduardo Vazquez-Toledo' (first name, middle name, surname). You can just call me 'Lenin' (since most people do), or 'Lenin Vázquez' (short full-name in Spanish for unofficial stuff, since the first part of my surname should have an accent), or 'Lenin Vazquez-Toledo' (short full-name in English), or 'Lenin Eduardo Vazquez Toledo (full-name in Spanish), or 'Lenin Eduardo Vázquez Toledo (full-name in Spanish for unofficial stuff), or 'Lenin Eduardo Vázquez-Toledo' (for when I feel eclectic), or 'Mr. Vazquez-Toledo' (if you're a student who prefers not to use my first name), or 'Eduardo' (if you are that one friend who makes it a point to use my middle name).
